If I may gander a guess, did you do this with a ballpoint pen? If I'm correct, then I suggest that you use instead a fine tip felt pen. It'll show the lines of your pen less, and create a thicker, darker black.
(And now that I look at this, good job on the perspective of the shoe, too.)
